Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the effect of sugarcane bagasse compost and Nasa POC on the growth and yield of Eggplant Plants. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 4 months, starting from January 2021 - April 2021. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, namely Sugarcane Bagasse Compost (A) with 4 treatment levels, namely: 0, 112, 5, 225, 337.5 g/plant. Nasa POC factor with 4 levels of treatment, namely: 0, 2, 4, 6 ml/L water Parameters observed were: plant height, flowering age, percentage of flowers to fruit, harvest age, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, number of leftover fruit . The research data were analyzed statistically and continued with the 5% BNJ test. The results showed that the interaction effect of bagasse compost and Nasa POC did not significantly affect the observed parameters. The main effect of the dose of bagasse compost was significant on the parameters of plant height, flowering age, harvest age and the number of fruit residues with the best treatment of 337.5 g/plant. The main effect of Nasa POC concentration was on the parameters of flowering age, percentage of flowers to fruit, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, and number of fruit residues with the best treatment being 6 ml/l of water.
