Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out whether the application of accounting in Pekanbaru 08 Public High School is in accordance with applicable accounting principles regarding government accounting standards. For the problems encountered, the authors sought to obtain data presented by the Pekanbaru 08 Public High School. The type of data used in this study is in the form of written documents compiled by the Pekanbaru 08 High School consisting of balance sheets, activity reports, school activity plans and budgets, general cash books, asset inventory reports. Data collection techniques through the documentation stage. The analysis used in the research is descriptive method. From the results of research that has been carried out on the accounting process and also the financial statements at SMA Negeri 08 Pekanbaru have not been in accordance with generally accepted principles.
