Abstract

ANALYSIS OF LEADERSHIP STYLE OF EDUCATION DEPARTMENT IN INDRAGIRI HILIR DISTRICT ABSTRACT This study aims to explain the analysis of the leadership style of the head of the Indragiri Hilir district education office. This research method is qualitative in nature to provide a systematic and accurate description of the meaning of the facts of the object being studied. The informan in this study was 8 (eight) people, consisting of structural officials, school principals, teachers in the Indragiri Hilir District Education Office. The research results explain; Fi rst, the effectiveness of the democratic leadership style of the Head of the Education Office, this is seen from the Head of the Service that appreciates the creativity of subordinates, is open, prioritizes deliberation, analysis of the leadership style The head of the education office can be categorized as a democratic leader because he likes to receive suggestions and opinions and even criticism from his employees, the head schools, teachers, always try to prioritize teamwork in an effort to achieve goals, sincerely give the widest possible freedom to employees to make mistakes which are then corrected so that the employee no longer makes mistakes which are then corrected so that employees do not make the same mistakes, but more daring to make other mistakes, always trying to make employees more successful than their leaders, and trying to develop their capacity as leaders. Second, the implications of the leadership style. The implications of the leadership style of the Head of the Indragiri Hilir Regency Education Office, the leadership style of the Head of the Indragiri Hilir Regency Education Office has implications for the institution.
