Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the interaction and main effect of POC on banana peel kepok and NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and production of curly red chili plants. This research has been carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution No. 113, Cold water Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 5 months starting from May 2021 to September 2021. This study used a factorial completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors, namely the first factor was the POC of the kepok banana peel (P) which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 200, 400, 600. ml per liter of water and the second factor is NPK 16:16:16 (N) consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 3.75, 7.50, 11.25 grams per polybag. The parameters observed were: plant height, age of flowering, age of harvest, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, weight of fruit per fruit and number of leftover fruit. The research data were analyzed statistically and continued with the 5% BNJ test. The results showed that the interaction effect of kepok banana peel POC and NPK 16:16:16 was significant on plant height, number of fruit planted, weight of planted fruit and number of leftover fruit. The best treatment was the combination of POC banana peel kepok 600 ml/liter water and NPK 16:16:16 11.25 g/polybag (P3N3). The main effect of POC banana peel kepok is real on all observation parameters. The best treatment was administration of POC banana peel kepok 600 ml/liter of water (P3). The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 was significant for all observation parameters. The best treatment was giving NPK 16:16:16 11.25 g/polybag (N3).
