Abstract
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PARENTS' PARENTING PATTERN PERCEPTIONS WITH ADOLESCENTS' LEARNING MOTIVATION DURING PANDEMIC TIME AT SMAN 01 FRANSISKA 178110196 FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF RIAU ABSTRACT Parenting is a form of action given as parents to their children, where parents provide various series of efforts to shape the child's personality for the better. While motivation is an encouragement or driving force for someone to do something with the encouragement or motivation then someone will be enthusiastic to do something he wants to achieve. Likewise with students who are required to have great learning motivation during this pandemic, this is a problem for parents to be demanded to provide better parenting patterns so that teenagers can get good learning outcomes during this pandemic. The purpose of this study was to find out how the relationship between perceptions of parenting patterns and learning motivation in adolescents during the pandemic at SMAN 01 Rumbio Jaya, with the subjects in this study were 154 students, taken using a random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a scale of 25 items for the parenting scale and 30 items for the motivation scale. The results of this study indicate that parenting has a significant positive relationship to students' learning motivation with a correlation coefficient value of 0.731 with a significant value of 000. In the sense that the hypothesis in this study is accepted.
