Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF ADOLESCENT SELF-CONTROL TOWARDS ONLINE LEARNING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN PANGKALAN KERINCI SEPTIANA AYU SARAH 178110132 FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY RIAU ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY ABSTRACT Self-control is the ability of individuals to regulate and control behavior intentionally or consciously in a more positive direction and not harming themselves or others in their environment. Adolescence is a phase of change from childhood to adulthood, at this time adolescents will face various changes in themselves such as physical, cognitive and psychological changes. Self-control in adolescents in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic is very necessary to regulate adolescent behavior in online learning where adolescents are very difficult to control behavior, especially in online learning, this is detrimental to adolescents in learning. The purpose of the study in this study was to find out the description of adolescent self-control towards online learning during the covid-19 pandemic, with the subject in this study 3 teenagers who took part in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted with descriptive qualitative research methods, namely interviews and observations using purposive sampling technique. Analysis of the data used is coding (coding). The results of this study indicate that the three subjects in this study have low self-control in learning
