Abstract

In the manufacture of elephant grass counting machines, there is a need for design on the transmission system, with the aim to facilitate in making the output needed in the community, especially in household production. In the transmission system used in the enumerator engine is to use an electric motor with three blades that will later be distributed on the drive shaft. The purpose of this study is to find out the results of the design of elephant grass counting machines that produce relatively the same pieces of grass and know the power source and drive rotation on the enumeration machine. In this case, of course, special calculations are needed to find accurate data so that the counting machine can work as expected. In this study, first prepare an elephant grass counting machine with components that have been prepared. Then the grass enumeration process uses 3 blades, the transmission system selected is a single transmission consisting of a pair of pulleys with a diameter of 7.5 cm for the pulley motor and 15 cm for the pulley moved. Then the production capacity of the grass counting machine every 60 minutes is able to cut grass as much as approximately 1000 kg, the sharpness of the perajang blade can be used to cut within 10-12 hours / day, the result of the size and length of the lawnmower uniform.
