Abstract

The problem in the Integrated Polyclinic Outpatient Building is clay soil, and the potential settlement. From these problems I am interested in researching related to the foundation and the type of clay soil. The foundation is a supporter of a building that serves as a retainer of the construction load that is on it. All the construction loads such as roads and buildings, all passed into the ground for that strong bearing capacity of the ground are very important to establishing a construction on it. In a building the load bearing structure is the foundation, the foundation used was pile the foundation, which is then passed into the ground. The buildings made are expected to be strong and sturdy. In this study of calculations using cone penetration test (CPT) data, design drawing and pile depth data, the methods used were Schmertmann and Nottingham (1975) to calculate the bearing capacity of the soil, and the Poulos and Davis method (1980) to calculate the pile settlement. From the calculation of the work load analysis obtained ultimit load on the pile cap structure of 6-C which is 2.287,58 kN, from the analysis of safe factors by taking 2.50 for normal control for permanent structures, with a safe factor of 2.54 and 2,51 for piles at points 6-C No.17 and 18. From the analysis of the settlement using the Poulos and Davis methods obtained was 13.7 mm.
