Abstract

Regional assets is one very important element in the administration of government and services to the community must be managed properly and correctly, so as to realize the management of regional assets in accordance with the principles of regional asset management. Therefore, the role of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) as an assistant in managing goods in carrying out regional asset management in Pekanbaru City is very important. Judging from the type, this research is a sociological research that is by surveying / going directly to the field to obtain data and information relating to the problem under study. The location of this study is in the Office of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) Pekanbaru City. Data collection is done by interviewing, documenting, and studying literature. The resource person in this research is the Head of Assets of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Pekanbaru City. The results showed that BPKAD Pekanbaru City carried out 8 cycles / stages of regional asset management, namely the needs planning and budgeting stages, procurement, utilization, security and maintenance, appraisal, alienation, deletion, and administration stage. For law enforcement in compensation and sanctions, it is done by providing administrative sanctions and also criminal sanctions against those who make mistakes or negligence in the management of regional assets. From the 8 stages, BPKAD Pekanbaru City has carried out its duties and functions quite well. Although in carrying out regional asset management, BPKAD Pekanbaru City experienced several obstacles / obstacles. With the existence of law enforcement in compensation and sanctions, it is hoped that it can reduce errors in the implementation of regional asset management in Pekanbaru City.
