Abstract

This research aims to know the Effectiveness of Wastewater Treatment Plant Procurement Policy in order to Improve Sanitation in Pekanbaru City and know what are the inhibitory factors in the Effectiveness of Wastewater Treatment Plant Procurement Policy. Indicators used include production, efficiency, and satisfaction. This research was conducted at the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Pekanbaru City and the Pekanbaru City Environment and Hygiene Office using Qualitative Descriptive research methods. Data collection using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. The results of this study show that the Effectiveness of Wastewater Treatment Plant Procurement Policy can be said to be effective because the policy is necessary for pekanbaru city which can be said to be a densely populated city. in addition, in the implementation of Wastewater Treatment Plant Procurement Policy itself is already underway and under construction, but in its development there are still some obstacles such as the achievement of the target of pipeline connection totaling 11,000 which is a challenge for the central government or the local government itself, furthermore, the government continues to carry out development until the target is achieved but in a gradual way.
