Abstract

As time goes by, the number of inhabitants in the City of Pekanbaru has increased, this will lead to the development and growth of the population in the City of Pekanbaru to be uneven. Most of the people prefer living in the suburbs while the location of the activity remained in the center of town. In problems like this, means of transport that are not able to answer all the needs of the community. This creates variations in the behavior of the journey that comes from the perpetrators of the trip itself, and the spatial factors in the form of location of residence and non-spatial as social, economic, and demographic. This study aims to determine how the relationship between travel behaviour of the household of motorcycle users in the City of Pekanbaru to the conditions of social, economic, and demographic. This study uses the analysis of crosstab analysis. The results of the study show that, the cost of the households affected by the number of motorcycle ownership, the number of family members, and household income level. Meanwhile, the travel time is affected by the level of household income. This shows that, the behavior of the journey of the household of motorcycle users in the City of Pekanbaru is influenced by the cost of the household
