Abstract

The development of geothermal facilities in Indonesia is relatively quite a bit, due to the weak economic growth. Even though Indonesia is considered to have considerable geothermal potential, because entered the “Ring of Fire” and nearly 40% of geothermal energy worldwide, is all around us. Piping system design in the Lumut Balai geothermal power plant development project, will generate data P&ID. Then stress analysis testing will be carried out with PASS Start-Prof software. All design are based on international and national standards as is the case of field and can provide an overview about this geothermal power plant. The result of this design test are the highest stress occurs at 745.74 kgf/sq.cm, compared to the stress allowed by international code ASME B31.1 which is 1179 kgf/sq.cm with a ratio of 63.3%.
