Abstract

ABSTRACT Gunawan (2021): Contribution of Limb Muscle Explosive Power to Smash Ability in the Volleyball Team of Topang Village, Rangsang District, Meranti Islands Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the smash ability of the volleyball team in Topang Village, Rangsang Subdistrict, Meranti Islands Regency. This type of research is a choresional study, the population in this study is the volleyball team of Topang Village, Rangsang Subdistrict, Meranti Islands Regency, totaling 12 people. The sampling technique can be used by using a total sampling of 12 people. The instrument in this study can be used by using the vertical jump test and volleyball smash test. The results of the calculation obtained a correlation index of -0,130, this value is then compared with the r table value at n = 12 with an error rate of 5%. The value of the discrimination coefficient is 2%. The volleyball team of Topang Village, Rangsang District, Meranti Islands Regency is 2% based on the calculation results obtained by the calculated r value of -0,130%, the correlation index value is in the range between 0,00 - 0,199 with the high category.
