Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out how much the contribution of Explosive Power to the results of triple jumpsof students in the academic year 2017/2018 of the Teaching and Education Faculty of the Islamic University of Riau. This type of research is a simple correlation. The population in this study amounted to 35 male and female students of class 3A, the sampling technique was total sampling and the number of samples was 30 male students but in the implementation there were only 19 students who could attend this study. The instrument of this research is the standing broad jump test, the triple jump test. The results of calculations performed obtained a correlation index of 0.668. This value is then compared with the r table value at n = 19 or Df = 17 with a 5% error rate of 0.456. Comparison of the two values r count value is greater than r table so there is a contribution between the two variables. Based on the calculation it can be seen that the percentage of Explosive relationship of leg muscle Power to triple jump is 44.7%. The conclusion in this study is that there is an Explosive contribution of Leg Muscle Power to the results of triple jump of students in the academic year 2017/2018 of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Riau Islamic University of 44.7%.
