Abstract
Over time the production of an oil well, the reservoir pressure in the well will decrease. Reducing reservoir pressure causes a decrease in the production rate. To overcome this condition, an artificial lift is carried out. WFR oil well is one of the production fields managed by the Joint Operations Agency (BOB) PT. Bumi Siak Pusako Pertamina Hulu. From the pump and well production data before optimization, the well efficiency data was obtained, well WS #03 Ev = 49%, WS #164 Ev = 67%, and WS #173 Ev = 45%. Low pump efficiency indicates ineffective pump performance. In order to overcome this problem, the researcher optimizes the pump insert by changing the pump speed, the aim is to increase the maximum pump efficiency. The increase in pump efficiency in the well occurred after the pump speed was reduced, this reduction in pump speed resulted in an increase in oil production in WS #03 well previously 38 bfpd to 41.75 bfpd, well WS #164 previously 84 bfpd to 93.40 bfpd, and well WS #173 went from 35 bfpd to 41.76 bfpd. With an increase in well efficiency, well WS #03 Ev = 65%, well WS #164 Ev = 88%, and well WS #173 Ev = 65%.
