Abstract

The Double Flash Steam method is one of the methods used in designing generating capacity in hydrothermal reservoir fields. The mechanism of this method is based on the utilization of the geothermal fluid produced. This method uses two separators and two turbines that have different pressures. Field N is a geothermal field with a hydrothermal reservoir system that has a total reserve of 149.82 MW. The research will be carried out using Tough2 Software in designing the conceptual model of the N field, as well as the Double Flash Steam method to design a generating capacity of 30 MW, and this method can be used in designing the generating capacity in the N field. The conceptual model created has as many as 10920 grids, with a grid size of 262120 consisting of 20 layers. The development phase is carried out for 30 years. Development is carried out to determine the right production strategy for managing the N field. In the research conducted, there were 2 scenarios for determining the right production strategy. The first scenario consists of 4 production wells + 1 injection well, and 5 production wells + 1 injection well with a depth of -300 to -900 mdpl, and the second scenario consists of 5 production wells + 1 injection well, with the addition of 1 makeup well with a depth of 300 to -200 mdpl. In the first scenario, with five production wells and one injection well, the resulting power capacity is 32,481MW, a power loss of 3.4MW, and a decrease in pressure and temperature of 3 bar and 5°C. In the second scenario, the power capacity that can be generated is 29.13MW, the power loss is 7MW, and the pressure and temperature drop are 2 bar and 3 °C, respectively. The power loss is 7MW. The first scenario, with 5 production wells and 1 injection well, is the right scenario for implementing the production strategy in the N field. The reservoir conditions at the development stage can still be developed for 30 years of development.
