Abstract

Production fluid flow from the wellhead through the flowline to gathering station. Various problem that occur in flowline can hold up fluid flows, so that it can be fateful to the production. One of the problems that occur in flowline is the formed of was deposite from the type crude oil which has a high wax content. Wax deposite used in this research was 30 gr. Wax is tested to determine the value of SG, API, Cold Point, Pour Point, and Flash Point. The process of degradation wax performed with using Bacterium Bacillus Cereus. This examination uses a glass beaker covered with aluminium foil. Observations for degrade wax performed with a few variation in amount bacteria (1gr, 2gr, and 3gr) for 7 days at room temperature. The results of wax deposite testing using bacillus cereus bacteria in sample 3 the using 3gr bacteria showed the best transformation, obtained the value of SG from 0.834 to 0.809, API previously 38.16 to 43.40, the value of cloud point from 34˚C to 24˚C, Cold point from 28˚C to 20˚C, Pour point from 40˚C to 35˚C, and for the Flash point the value remain 70˚C because it has not changed. From the result of treatment using wax on bacteria, it shows that the more bacteria used the better for results obtained.
