Abstract

ABSTRACT Research entitled the effect of water grass (Hydrilla verticillata) and legin on the growth and production of soybean (Glycine max L. Merril). Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Hasan Basri Jumin M.Sc and Mrs. Dr. Ir. Siti Zahrah M.P. The study was aimed at assesing the effects of the aplication of Hydrilla verticillata and legin of soybean growth and production. This experiment used a factorial completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was H. verticillata with doses of 0, 60, 90 and 120 g-1 plant. The second factor was legin with doses of 0, 5, 10, 15 g kg-1 seeds. The results showed that the interaction of H. verticillata and legin significant affected the parameters of plant height (cm), number of root nodules (fruit), flowering age (days), percentage of pithy pods (%), root volume (ml), dry seed weight. crop (grams), harvest index (grams). The main effect of H. verticillata was significant on all observation parameters and the main effect of legin was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment was H. verticillata 90 g-1 plant and legin 10 g kg-1 seeds.
