Abstract

Water is an essential compound for all forms of life known to date on Earth. Water covers almost 71% of the Earth's surface. There are 1.4 trillion cubic kilometers (330 million mi³) available on Earth. The purpose of this study was to determine the depth of the groundwater aquifer, interpretation of rock layers, direction of groundwater flow and the feasibility of physical groundwater quality in Siak Mempura Hilir Village, Mempura District, Siak Sri Indrapura Regency, Riau Province. The method used in this study is the geoelectric resistivity Schlumberger configuration method by means of sounding data collection and shallow groundwater sampling method at community wells around the research area. From the results of the analysis and interpretation of the data that has been carried out, there are 3 constituent layers that dominate the research area, namely clay, sandy clay, and sand, each of which has a different depth and resistivity value from GL1, GL-2 and GL. -3. Rock layers that have the potential to contain groundwater (akifer) have a resistivity value of 102.43 - 116.09 ohm.m and a depth of 81.32 - Aa113.02 m with Sandstone lithology. From the calculation results, the highest groundwater value in the research area is in well 2 with a value of 14.9 m and the lowest groundwater level is found in well 5 with a value of 8.5 m. The results of the analysis of physical parameters according to PERMENKES no.492 of 2010, there is only 1 station that has the feasibility of drinking water
