Abstract

This study aims to see and find out the extent of the Role of Village Heads in Development in Kubang Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar District. In accordance with the problem, the type of research is Descriptive Survey using the Quantitative Method. This research was conducted in Kubang Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar District. The reason the researchers took the location of this study was based on the phenomenon that the role of the village head in the implementation of development in Kubang Jaya Village has not been well implemented and far from the expectations of the community as stated in the background of the problem. Based on the results of research and discussion on the Role of Village Heads in the Development of Kubang Jaya Village in good category this can be seen from 26 people or 52% stating that the overall indicator of the Role of Village Heads in Kubang Jaya Village Development is quite good because it is at 34-66%. The obstacles found in the Role of the Village Chief in the Development of Kubang Jaya Village are : Lack of costs from the APBDes and not getting the right location in the village for the construction of Kubang Jaya village facilities and lack of awareness of the Kubang Jaya community in active participation in Kubang Jaya village development this was evidenced by the dominant Kubang Jaya village community when invited to hold a village consultation meeting or other sub-district event.
