Abstract

The production fluid flows from the wellhead to the gathering station via the flowline. The problem that occurs at this stage is the formation of wax deposits that can inhibit fluid production. There are several treatments that can be done to overcome this problem, namely mechanical, thermal and chemical handling. Then there is also an alternative treatment that uses microba (bacteria), this study was conducted to find out the ability of bacteria tested namely pseudomonas putida bacteria to live and develop at different temperatures and test the ability to degrade wax deposite. The results of observations obtained that the seeds (strains) of pseudomonas putida bacteria have been able to live and develop on light crude oil characterized by the emergence of bacterial colonies. The test results showed that T3 samples with 3gr strains of pseudomonas putida bacteria tested at room temperature had the highest change, getting the SG value with a decrease from 0.834 to 0.826, the previous API of 36.95 rose to 39.80. The pour point value before degradation of 40°C drops to 37°C. The cloud point value from 34°C to 28°C cold point before degradation of 28°C, after degradation drops to 24°C, while flash point values do not change. For wax deposite degradation testing samples using pseudomonas putida bacteria at temperature in water, W3 samples with a composition of 3gr pseudomonas putida bacteria had the highest change, getting the SG value before degradation from 0.834 to 0.832. °API before degradation 36.95 to 38.57. The pour point value from 40 °C drops to 37 °C, cloud point from 34 °C drops to 30 °C, cold point from 27 °C to 26 °C, while for flash points do not change.
