Abstract
Strategy is essentially a careful plan of an activity to achieve a target or goal. The target or target is not easily achieved without a strategy, because basically all actions or actions cannot be separated from the strategy, especially in the communication target. A village unit cooperative is a multi-purpose cooperative whose members are villagers and are located in rural areas. Replanting is the process of planning an oil palm plantation by replacing oil palm trees that are 25-30 years old with new oil palm trees that are no longer productive. Communication strategy is a combination of communication planning carried out with communication management to achieve its goals. This research is qualitative and uses data collection techniques carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation, using a direct or face to face communication model, applied in the application of methods to socialize the oil palm tree replanting program. This method is persuasive/invitation, so deliberation is a process of socializing the Village Unit Cooperative directly. The results showed that the Fertile Oil Palm Village Unit Cooperative had a role in disseminating the replanting program to the community. This can be seen from many people who are starting to understand and follow replanting. The problem faced by the Sawit Subur Village Unit Cooperative in socializing the replanting program is that there are people who do not participate, because there is no time to attend the counseling conducted by the Subur Sawit Subur Village Cooperative and many people do not understand the replanting program. The solution provided by the Sawit Subur Village Unit Cooperative to overcome the problem of not participating in the replanting program by taking a direct approach and for the lack of community understanding by increasing socialization time and distributing billboards about the replanting program.
