Abstract

This final project research was carried out in Buluh Cina Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau, which was located at coordinates 0◦22'57.1002 " - 0◦22'18.0315" LU and 101◦31'31.253 "- 101◦32'10.0611 "BT included in the Kampar District Administration Map. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of quarterly sediments and mineral content in Oxbow lake sediments, as well as to determine the distribution patterns of Oxbow lake quarterly sedimentary deposits. The research method was carried out by data collection in the field and laboratory analysis. Oxbow lake in the study area has sedimentary deposits in the form of silt with organic material. The minerals contained in lake sediment samples are dominated by Quartz and Muskovit minerals. Oxbow lake sedimentary facies, namely Silt Facies Sediment with Little Organic Material and Silt Facies with Many Organic Materials. Oxbowlake depositional facies are included in the Oxbowlake depositional facies.
