Abstract

This study aims to determine students’ perceptions of the implementation of online learning in biology science subjects during Covid-19 for class VIII students at SMPN 26 Pekanbaru, Academic Years 2021/2022. This research is a quantitative research. The method used in this research is a survey method. Data was collected using observation, interviews and questionnaires. The sample in this study was 139 students, taken from class VIII SMPN 26 Pekanbaru. The questionnaire distributes was 36 question items. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that students’ perceptions of the implementation of online learning in Biology science subjects during Covid-19, class VIII students at SMPN 26 Pekanbaru in the 2021/2022 academic year obtained an overall average score of 84,20% in the (very good category). With pedagogic competence in the category of 85,60% (very good) Meanwhile , 81,43% of professional competence is (very good).
