Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the aesthetic value of the song Indahnya Kerumutan by Suwarsono in Kerumutan District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. The theory used is the theory of Jakob Sumardjo (2000:142) to assess the beauty (aesthetics) in a work of art, one must understand the standard of artistic values that can be seen from the intrinsic value in the form of appearance value (penampilan), content (isi), disclosure (pengungkapan) and extrinsic values in the form of basic religious, moral, social and knowledge values. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data was collected by observation, documentation and interviews. The data analysis technique uses Iskandar's theory, namely data reduction, data display and verification or drawing conclusions. The results showed that the aesthetic values of the song Indahnya Kerumutan were in the form of intrinsic value and extrinsic value, the value of appearance or form in the song Indahnya Kerumutan in the form of Mp3 and performances. The atmosphere in the song Indahnya Kerumutan is about clarifying the misunderstanding of the outside community about Kerumutan. The idea of the song Indahnya Kerumutan is about efforts to introduce Kerumutan both in terms of nature, fauna and society. The message in the song Indahnya Kerumutan is to remind humans as social beings to be wise in giving an assessment of everything. The value of Susila in the song Indahnya Kerumutan means that humans must have a sense of courtesy in social life and be wise in coexistence with nature. The religious value implied in the song Indahnya Kerumutan means a great gift for the people of Kerumutan. The moral value implied in the song Indahnya Kerumutan means that fellow human beings remind each other in maintaining and caring for the Kerumutan nature and not destroying it so that future generations can enjoy Kerumutan nature. The social value implied in the song Indahnya Kerumutan means that the many ethnic cultures and languages that exist in Kerumutan do not become an obstacle to maintaining harmony and peaceful coexistence.
