Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility is a company's commitment in implementing the objectives of corporate social responsibility. Companies that manage natural resources are required to carry out their social responsibilities as mandated in Article 74 of Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies. Based on the above background, the main problem in writing this thesis is how to implement CSR by PT. Samantaka Batubara Against the Community of Pauh Ranap Village and What are the Inhibiting Factors Against the Implementation of CSR PT. Samantaka Batubara Against the Community of Pauh Ranap Village. The research method in writing this thesis is an observation research method or survey method, namely research that takes samples from a population and uses interviews as a means of collecting basic data, while from the nature of this research is descriptive, the research location is at PT. Samantaka Batubara, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Pauh Ranap Village. The results of this thesis that PT. Samantaka coal is a company located in the village of Pauh Ranap, Indragiri Hulu Regency, is a company that manages coal natural resources. That PT. Samantaka is obliged to carry out his social responsibilities to the village community of Pauh Ranap. So far, the company has only provided assistance in physical form, and other social assistance as explained by the author, such as road repairs and unsustainable development, that there is no CSR program as a sustainable company policy. The role of stockholders such as the government is not proactive and the CSR forum is not running as mandated by PERDA Number 6 of 2012 concerning Corporate Social Responsibility in Riau Province. That on the implementation of CSR PT. Samantaka Batubara there are 3 factors that make the implementation less than optimal, the first is the company, in this case, the lack of a clear response and company plan (the CSR annual plan), the company is not well-planned, and the second factor is the community who does not understand the CSR that must be implemented by the company. coal managing company, namely PT. Samantaka coal, the third factor is the local government's lack of attention to the ineffectiveness of the CSR forum mandated by regional regulations. That these three factors affect the implementation of CSR PT. Coal Samantaka.
