Abstract

The research area is administratively located in the Parit Indah District of Bukit Raya District Pekanbaru City of Riau Province, geographically the study area is located at the coordinates 0 ° 28 '30.92 "N 101 ° 28' 9.45" EN 0 ° 27 '25.63 "- 101 ° 29' 47.30 "E. The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution pattern of groundwater at the last research location to determine the characteristics of peat soil distribution and to determine the effect of peat soil types on subsidence. Data collection methods in this study were carried out using Gridding, Hand Auger, Groundwater analysis and soil testing in the laboratory. The highest distribution of water is in the west with elevations ranging from 13.65m to 13.25m, while the lowest distribution of groundwater is in the east with groundwater elevation ranging from 71.5m to 7.45m. Characteristics of Peat Soil Distribution in fibric peat are in the southwest part with peat soil distribution concentrations ranging from 26%. While in the east - west hemic peat concentration is around 74%. maturity on peat, the smaller the subsidy level in peatlands
