Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the management of the Sorek traditional market in one of the Pelalawan regency bases, and to determine the factors of their position. The indicators used include Planning, Organizing, Mobilizing and Supervising. The phenomenon that the authors encountered is: 1. Lack of supervision and firmness of the market management officer of the Department of Industry and Trade of Pelalawan Regency in terms of collecting market levies at the Sorek Satu market for stalls and stalls. 2. Ineffective Tasks performed by the Market Management Division in managing markets that result in traders not obeying Regional Regulations. 3. There are still many street vendors who are less aware of the rules and regulations applicable. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative, which is to investigate objects that cannot be measured using numbers because the goal is to reveal events or facts, circumstances and phenomena during the research. Key informant is the Head of Market Management, and the informant is the Head of the market management section and traders in Sorek Satu Market. The type of author's research comes from primary data that is obtained directly from informants through interviews and documentation and secondary data that is data obtained to complete primary data. While the data analysis technique is in the form of a description of the findings in the field in the form of data and information from interviews and documentation.
