Abstract

Basically, marriage is carried out with the aim of building a Sakinah, Mawaddah, and Warahmah household. However, to realize that goal is not easy, there are several factors that cause the breakup of a marriage and one of them is taklik talak. This study has problems that are used as research material, namely how is the position of taklik talak as a factor causing divorce in the Pekanbaru Religious Court and how is the settlement of taklik talak cases as a factor causing divorce in the Pekanbaru Religious Court? The research method in this thesis uses a normative-empirical approach. The type of research used is qualitative, which includes primary data sources, namely data directly obtained from the source, and secondary data, namely data obtained from writings or reports that have been systematized. The results of this thesis indicate that taklik talak is a factor causing divorce in the Pekanbaru Religious Court, which is one way to protect the rights of a wife if the husband does things that are in taklik talak. However, divorce is only a last resort after going through the processes that have been determined by religion.
