Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of problem based learning (PBL) learning models on students' critical thinking skills in volleyball learning of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Kuantan. The type of this research is an experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study was class XI students totaling 247 people. The sampling technique in this study is cluster sampling. The sample in this study were 30 students of class XI Science 1 (experimental class) and 33 students of XI IPS 2 (conventional class). The research instrument used was the pree test and post test of critical thinking by giving questions or questions about the material provided. The data analysis technique used is the t test. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that there is an influence of the problem based learning (PBL) learning model on the critical thinking skills of students in the volleyball learning of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Kuantan
