Abstract

In order to discipline employees, the headmaster of SMA NEGERI 11 PEKANBARU, implements a finger print attendance system. Because so far the manual attendance is only a list of attendance books, principals and employees who see attendance, can not know the level of discipline of other employees. Because on a manual absence, employees can manipulate their attendance, such as being able to lapse on another day or leave attendance to other employees. So that the manual attendance system is considered ineffective and inefficient in its application. The formulation of the problem of this research is a matter of how the application of finger print attendance in disciplining the work of employees in SMA NEGERI 11 PEKANBARU ?. The purpose of this study is to illustrate how the application of finger print attendance and to describe the level of employee discipline in SMA NEGERI 11 PEKANBARU. In this study, researchers used a research method that is used is a qualitative method with a descriptive type of approach. And, data collection techniques used are interviews and observation. The results obtained are that when doing attendance employees only need to put their fingers on the finger print attendance machine, then automatically the employee's data will be captured and stored in the software, then collected in the database, then each employee without exception, is not allowed to improve attendance except can be proven by a letter of assignment that is signed directly by the principal, and the evaluation of employee attendance every month, in accordance with the attendance report recorded or stored through a finger print attendance machine.
