Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SELF-EFFICIENCY AND CAREER DECISION MAKING IN STUDENTS OF SMA NEGERI 1 PUSAKO TIA AGNESA 178110023 RIAU ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY ABSTRACT High school graduates are generally faced with personal decisions that significantly affect their future. Such decisions are usually between entering the workforce and pursuing higher education. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and career decision making in high school students. The research subjects of this thesis are all students of class XII SMA Negeri 1 Pusako with a total sample of seventy students. Sampling in this study used the saturated sample technique method, and was analyzed through the person product moment correlation test. The data in this thesis were obtained through a self-efficacy scale of seventeen questions and a career decision-making scale of two three questions. This statistical analysis shows that there is a positive and significant relationship with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.794 and a significant value (p) = 0.000 (p < 0.05), so that the hypothesis can be accepted. This shows that the students of SMA Negeri 1 Pusako are at a high level of self-efficacy, the higher the career decision making in the students themselves. Conversely, the lower the level of self-efficacy in students, the lower the level of career decision making in students.
