Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the contribution of leg muscle strength and balance to graduation and stopping in extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru. This type of research is an experiment. The population and sample in this study were all extracurricular students of SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru, which were 25 people and the sample was male students who saved 25 people. The instruments of this research include leg muscle strength test (leg dynamometer), balance test (strock stand) with eyes closed using a stopwatch without a specified time limit and passing tests and stop football using passing tests and stop toward the reflection wall as much as possible with a count through the stopwatch for 10 seconds. Data analysis technique is the replacement value test. Based on the results of research that can be done where it can simplify it 1) There is no contribution about the formation of leg muscles (X1) and passing and stopping football extracurricular high school students 6 Pekanbaru (Y), where it is found r = = 0.26 At the level a significant 5% was found rtable = 0.396, thus r count <rtable or - 0.26 <0.396. 2) Excluding the contribution of equilibrium (X2) to the graduation and termination of extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru (Y), which is found to be r = 0.12 At a significant level of 5% found rtable = 0.396, thus r count <rtable or 0, 12 <0.396. 3) Contribute leg muscle strength (X1) and balance (X2) to the graduation and termination of extracurricular students in the 6 weeks high school (Y), where a rcount = 0.457 is found at a significant level of 5%, rtable = 0.396, thus rcount> rtable or 0.457> 0.396 in the medium category. From this the researchers found that the results of data processing that strengthened leg muscles and leg length contributed 20.8%. For the rest that is equal to 79.2%.
