Abstract

This study aims to determine and explain the task of the Village Staff in coordinating physical development in Pinang Sebatang Timur Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency, as it is known that the Village Staff is a state apparatus responsible for coordinating participatory physical development in Pinang Sebatang Timur Village. As is known, physical development in the village of Pinang Sebatang Timur was not carried out properly, due to the lack of cooperation between village staff and the local community. The role of the Village Staff is very much needed for the better implementation of development in Pinang Sebatang Timur Village, but this cannot be done without full support from the Siak district government, community leaders, local communities and organizations in Pinang Sebatang Timur Village. The research indicators in this study use Farland's theory with four research items namely; Hold formal meetings, collaborate, hold informal meetings and appoint a team. In accordance with the problems of this study, the research method is qualitative descriptive type. These results indicate that the Village Staff is quite active in the implementation of physical development in the East Pinang Sebtang Village. The inhibiting factors are; Lack of official meetings, Lack of cooperation, Lack of informal meetings and Lack of special teams to carry out village development.
