Abstract

This study aims to determine the efforts and factors of empowerment of Farmers Empowerment in the Kempas Jaya District of Kempas District through the Improvement of Farmers Welfare Program by the Office of Food Crops, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry of Indragiri Hilir Regency. Empowerment Indicators used in supporting awareness, strengthening and protection. The research analysis technique located in Kelurahan Kempas Jaya is a qualitative descriptive method that describes the news that occurs at the meticulous location. Informants in this study were 10 people. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling, which is sampling of data sources with certain considerations through observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. Types and data collection techniques used consist of, primary data obtained directly from respondents at the study site equipped with secondary data taken directly from the source and data obtained from libraries, such as books containing research. While the data analysis technique used in this study uses interactive model steps. This interactive analysis is a cycle and interactive, namely research in conducting the research process ready to move in four directions, namely the process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion or verification. Based on this analysis technique, the researcher concludes and assesses the Empowerment of Farmers in the Kempas Jaya District of Kempas District through the Farmers Welfare Improvement Program by the Food Crops, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry Office of Indragiri Hilir Regency which is still relatively weak. Recommendations that need to be considered with regard to providing training on agricultural use, requesting assistance given to farmers on target, seeking retailer sale of farmer-owned such as making strategies so that the results of rice production are more profitable for farmers, so that agricultural extension workers & advisors to be immediately added into one power extension workers for each farmer group and budget in the implementation of the existing Farmers Welfare Improvement Program are used right on target because the amount of assistance that cannot be done by farmers as well as minimization of socialization given to farmers who become moving obstacles
