Abstract
Health workers as the driving force for health service activities at the Tampan Hospital are one of the important assets for agencies considering that nursing services will be optimal if they are supported by qualified health workers. The quality of qualified health workers is not enough to create good performance, supervision is still needed considering that performance is a function of the ability and motivation of health workers. he purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of supervision on the performance of health workers at the Tampan Mental Hospital, Riau Province in 2021. This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all health workers at the Tampan Mental Hospital totaling 232 health workers and sampling using the Slovin formula obtained a sample size of 70 respondents and the sampling technique was simple random sampling. The analysis used to test the research hypothesis using the spearman rhank (rho) test. The results showed that supervision had a significant influence on the performance of health workers at the Tampan Mental Hospital, Riau Province in 2021.
