Abstract
This study aims to determine the appropriateness of the application of accounting by the shopkeepers to small and medium micro financial accounting entities that provide a simple understanding of accounting, and also whether the accounting practices carried out by the shopkeepers in accordance with the concepts the basis of universally accepted accounting. As for the population in this study are all crockery businesses in the District of Bangkinang Town, Kampar Regency with a total of 25 crockery shops that will be used as respondents in this study based on UMKM criteria through Law Number 20 of 2008 concerning micro, small and medium businesses. In this research, the technique used is purposive sampling that is by using certain criteria through descriptive statistical analysis will be collected and grouped according to their respective types and then poured in the form of tables so that it can be described through the description that will be given.
