Abstract

In accordance with the provisions of Law No. 8 of 2006 concerning the protection of persons with disabilities in which there are rights of persons with disabilities, one of which is in getting a job. But in reality there are still many people with disabilities who find it difficult to get a job in the world of work. According to Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower, every company is required to employ at least 1% of workers with disabilities in their company. Therefore, the author will describe how effective it is in implementing the 1% quota for persons with disabilities. The research method used in this study is a method that combines normative and survey studies, in which the main author uses normative research methods, but in order to obtain more complete data, the researchers conducted interviews with respondents. Then this research is descriptive in nature which provides more detailed data on Legal Protection for Persons with Disabilities to obtain job opportunities at CV. Surya Pelangi as a form of fulfilling the 1% quota by companies in employing workers with disabilities. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out by the author, it can be concluded that: CV. Surya Pelangi has carried out according to the rules of Law No. 8 of 2016 regarding the obligation to be able to employ workers with disabilities at least 1% of people with disabilities in their companies, can seen from the employment of people with disabilities at the CV. Surya Pelangi itself. However, there are still many companies out there that do not employ disabled personnel and because of the lack of socialization from the manpower office itself, they are able to appeal to companies regarding their obligations and also persons with disabilities in obtaining their rights.
