Abstract

Radical understanding is often related to the religiosity of an individual. This study aims to determine the relationship between religiosity and students' perceptions of radicalism. The subjects of this study were 204 students of the Faculty of Psychology UIR. The subject taking technique used is Cluser Random sampling. The measuring instrument used is the scale of religiosity as many as 10 items and the perception of radicalism 13 items. The analysis used in this study is the correlation spearman rank order. The results of statistical analysis showed a value of r = 0.035 with a Sig value = 0.624 (p> 0.05), meaning that there was no significant relationship between religiosity and student perceptions of the phenomenon of radicalism. The phenomenon of perceptions of radicalism is caused by other factors, not from how high someone's religiosity is. Keywords: Religiosity, Perception, Radicalism
