Abstract

This study aims to produce a mathematics learning tool in the form of a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) and Student Worksheets (LKPD) using a guided discovery model (Guided Discovery Learning) with a contextual approach (Contextual Teaching and Learning) on the material for constructing the flat side of the classroom. VIII valid. In developing this LKPD using an R & D model consisting of ten stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validity, design revision, product trials, product revisions, usage trials, product revisions, mass production. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the R & D development model carried out only 6 stages, namely: potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, final product. The data collection instrument used was the RPP and LKPD validation sheets. The data collection technique used is interviews and validation sheets. Validation data from 2 lecturers of Mathematics Education FKIP UIR and 1 mathematics teacher at SMP Negeri 7 Tualang. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. From the results of the study, the results of the RPP validation were 80,2% and the LKPD validation results were 80.72% with a valid validation level. Based on this research, it was obtained that the Learning Implementation Plans and Student Worksheets were using a guided discovery model and a contextual approach to valid material for flatsided shapes for class VIII SMP.
