Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of accounting information systems and internal control systems on individual performance in hotels in Dumai. Data collection techniques used in this study is to use a questionnaire method distributed to respondents numbering 13 hotels in Dumai. The procedure of determining the sample used in this study is a purposive sampling method that is sampling where all members of the population are examined with a total of 39 people observations. With consideration of at least 1 (one) financial manager, 2 (two) accountant staff members. The data analysis method used is descriptive and quantitative methods. Data analysis in this study was carried out using SPSS computer program assistance. Based on the results of the study note that based on the results of testing the hypothesis through the t test it is known that the accounting information system and internal control system have a significant effect on individual performance at the Hotel in Dumai. The value of R2 in this study was 0.547 (54.7%). Thus the influence of accounting information system variables and internal control systems on individual performance variables at the Hotel in Dumai is 54.7% and 45.3% is explained by other variables outside this research model.
