Abstract

One form of public service that exists and is implemented in Indonesia is services in the field of licensing. Public servants in the field of licensing in various fields are arranged neatly and systematically. Procedures for the processing of these various permits varied after the enactment of the regional autonomy law. This is because each region has its own authority to regulate it. However, in general, the administrative requirements for obtaining these permits are almost the same for each region. Along with the development of increasingly sophisticated technology, many business ventures have sprung up. These business ventures certainly need to have a business permit from the local government. One of the businesses favored by the community is the laundry business. Laundry businesses need to have a permit, this is because a business needs to obtain a permit from the government, so that the business can be officially registered. In this thesis entitled "Implementation of Home Laundry Business Licensing in Pekanbaru City" is discussed in the problem, namely: How is the implementation of home laundry business licensing in Pekanbaru City and Is the implementation of home laundry business licensing in the City based on Government Regulation Number 5 of 2021 with a laundry business license . The method used to answer the problems mentioned above is to use the empirical legal research method (sociological) which is a data collection technique, where researchers make observations directly to the object of research to take a close look at the activities carried out. The results of the study indicate that the laundry business must have a permit. In this study, the laundry business must have a permit. The importance of obtaining a license for this laundry business is related to the waste that is disposed of, because in its operation the laundry business uses a lot of chemicals. Therefore, the laundry business needs to have a permit from the government. There are 44 laundry businesses in Pekanbaru that already have a business license from the government. Licensing procedures are in accordance with applicable regulations. In addition to having to comply with government regulations regarding laundry business permits, laundry business actors must also comply with laundry waste disposal permits. This disposal permit cannot be separated from the business license. because the laundry business itself has a fairly large risk of impact on the environment. businesses that have risks must comply with the applicable provisions, namely Government Regulation Number 5 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing.
