Abstract

MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM OF MOTOR VEHICLE TESTING (SIM-PKB) WEB BASED (CASE STUDY: TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT OF PEKANBARU CITY) Novrianda Faculty of Engineering Technical Information Riau Islamic University Email: Novryanda@student.uir.ac.id ABSTRACT Research had been held at the UPTD KIR Vehicle of Pekanbaru City Transportation Office in August-September 2019. This research aims to build a Web-Based Vehicle Testing Management Information System (SIM-PKB) and improve public services in UPTD of Pekanbaru City Transportation Department. SIM-PKB is built through stages that combine data, literature studies, system design, system implementation, testing and evaluation, research report preparation. The analysis results of design and testing of SIM-PKB namely; (1) This web-based vehicle testing management information system (SIM-PKB) was made without problems after black box testing, (2) In the system implementation, this system can streamline the applicant's time in KIR affairs of the vehicle, (3) this system can perform online services, and (4) This system can provide information asking the applicant before the KIR of the vehicle has expired via email message.
