Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how big the contribution of arm muscle power to the shot put results for extracurricular students at SMK N 1 Ukui, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. As for in this study, the researchers took the entire number of students who took part in the extracurricular bullet put at SMK N 1 Ukui, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province, totaling 14 male students. Based on the results of the calculation of the correlation between the variables X and Y between arm muscle power and shot put results, it was found that the value of the relationship between arm muscle power and shot put results for extracurricular students at SMK Negeri 1 Ukui, Pelalawan Regency was 0.772 with a value of rtable = 0.532, it means the amount of value relationship or correlation value with the interpretation of the value between 0.600 - 0.800 which means the "enough" category. Then the final result of this data analysis is to calculate the coefficient of determination so that the value of the coefficient of determination is 59.60%. This means that arm muscle power contributes to the shot put results in extracurricular students of SMK Negeri 1 Ukui, Pelalawan Regency by 59.60%.
