Abstract

The purpose of this study was to look at the contribution of hand-eye coordination to volleyball under-passing abilities in extracurricular students of SMAN 2 Tambang. According to observations in the field, there are still some problems with eye-hand coordination of students when doing underhand passes in volleyball games. The test used in this study was a throw and catch ball test and a volleyball bottom passing test. The sample in this study were 15 people. From the results of tests carried out on volleyball extracurricular students at SMAN 2 Tambang using the throw and catch ball test and the volleyball bottom passing test, the results were quite maximal with rcount < rtable or 0.526 < 0.532. With these results obtained, it can be explained that there is no significant relationship but there is a contribution of 52.60% and the remaining 47.40% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study, namely psychological factors or mental maturity. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that there is a contribution of eye and hand coordination to volleyball bottom passing abilities in extracurricular students of SMAN 2 Tambang with a contribution of 52.60%.
