Abstract
Improving the quality of education cannot be separated from the ability of educators Of course, this requires coaching activities for educators to improve the ability of educators and improve the quality of education. The Riau Provincial Education Office in the Guidance of SLB Educators includes applied materials, learning activities, and curriculum implementation so as to improve the quality of education. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that hinder the role of the Riau Provincial Education Office in the Guidance of Special School Educators (SLB) in Pekanbaru City. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Discussion on the role of the Riau Provincial Education Office in the Development of Special School Educators (SLB) in Pekanbaru City. has not been implemented optimally where the number of SLB educators in Pekanbaru City has not been given comprehensive guidance due to the lack of socialization of the Riau Provincial Education Office to SLB educators, the existence of guidance to improve the quality of education, the lack of staff in conducting coaching and the ability of employees in coaching related to learning and teaching based on the curriculum. In conclusion, the implementation of coaching for SLB educators has been carried out but has not been carried out optimally so that there are still teachers who have not participated in coaching activities to improve the quality of education. However, the authors suggest to socialize coaching activities, increase the number of employees in conducting coaching activities, increase employee knowledge in coaching activities and increase employee collaboration with teaching staff in improving the quality of education.
