Abstract

This study aims to find out how the Plenary group tambourine art performances in Rawang Empat Village, Bandar Petalangan District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. According to Edy Sedyawati (1981:60) performing arts is a phenomenon or event that aims to display or show a work of art to the public or to the public. Performing arts have elements in it, namely time is an opportunity that can be used by performers, place is a place used to display a show, performers of a show performed by one or more people, and audiences who are always looking forward to the show, as well as several supporting theories from KBBI (2020:9) , Bagus (2007:23) , and Y. Sumandiyo Hadi (2012:1 -3) . The methodology used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results are based on descriptive data. The object of this research is the Rebana Group Paripurna performance. The result of this research is the Rebana art performance Plenary Group with perm The instrument uses a drum pattern from one to five drums and plays at various events both within the Rawang Empat village and outside the village. an identifier of cultural heritage in the field of traditional music for the community, especially among young people and women, the plenary name itself is taken from the name of a Mosque in Rawang Empat Village and the songs they play are religious or Qasidah with a number of players from one to fifteen. person or more.
