Abstract

This study aims to describe offline learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP IT Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru. The results of student learning mathematics show that it is still not as expected because the teaching and learning process does not involve students actively but is more teacher-centered so that the activity or role of students in learning is less dominant during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted using data collection methods in the form of interviews and observations made to principals, teachers, and students. This study uses a descriptive type of research with a qualitative approach. The results of this research are that the learning used by teachers at SMP IT Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study indicate that the strategy for implementing learning during the Covid-19 pandemic includes: 1) offline learning (outside the network or offline learning); 2) students come directly to school by implementing health protocol rules; 3) students enter school with limited time during the pandemic.
