Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of shoulder muscle power to the results of the smash in the extracurricular volleyball game at Taruna Pekanbaru Vocational School. The population of this study were all male volleyball extracurricular students at Pekanbaru Taruna Vocational School who did 16 volleyball coaching exercises. The sampling technique is total sampling. The number of samples is 16 people. The research instruments were throwing medicine overhead balls and volleyball smash tests. Based on the calculation of product moment correlation, the r value is 0.606. The correlation index value is in the range between 0.40-0.70 with the category "medium". Value of r table 0, 497. The results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination obtained a percentage of 36.7%. The conclusion in this study is that there is a correlation of shoulder arm muscle power to the smash results of the volleyball extracurricular students at Taruna Vocational School Pekanbaru. The correlation was 36.7%.
