Abstract
This study aims to determine the contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the accuracy of shooting soccer game of SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Utara students. This research type is correlation research. The population in this study was Class XI IPS students of SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Utara as many as 82 students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling so the researchers made a sample of 36 students. This research instrument uses a vertical jump test, and soccer shooting test. the calculation results obtained r count value of 0.387. The correlation index value is in the range between 0.200-0.399 in the "low" category. The conclusion in this research is that there is a contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the shooting ability of the football game of SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Utara Kampar District students with a percentage of only 15%.
